conmurphysshop 0 - - Con Murphys Menswear

Cork City is one of the best shopping locations in Europe. You can choose from a huge variety of shops, where you will find all major brands stocked in a variety of different stores. The beauty about Cork City Centre is that it is so compact. You can browse through the main shopping areas of St. Patrick Street, St. Oliver Plunkett Street, and the Grande Parade, (all of which are a short stroll from one another) then relax in some of the City’s beautiful Restaurants and Café’s in the Huguenot area.

St. Patrick Street is the main shopping Street in Cork, and it is unique because you can find small family run stores trading alongside major department chain stores. Many of these small shops offer a traditional friendly service that makes a big difference to visitors to our lovely city. One of Cork City’s oldest and most famous stores is Con Murphy Menswear at 60 St. Patrick Street. This small store still has the character and charm of stores back in 1930 when it was established. The store has won many awards for the service they provide, and also for the best retail frontage in Cork.

At the back of Con Murphy’s you will find the world renowned ‘English Market’ This Market is a hub of activity at any time, where you will find food stalls selling fresh meats, fish, game, bread and fruit. There are also adjoining restaurants which sell cooked food from the ‘Market’. In May of 2011, the ‘Market’ celebrated the great occasion of a visit from Queen Elizabeth the 2nd and Prince Phillip. The most convenient Multi- Storey Parking available to the city centre is Paul Street, and Merchants Quay.
